“A pity that our paths cannot continue together. But the most important thing is that I have a great friend forever. Great Diego!” This was the message published by Pepe López on social networks on Friday morning, something that has already caught many fans by surprise.

López and Vallejo separate their paths after competing in the Rally Portugal and Italy-Sardinia in the World Rally Championship. The Spanish duo didN`t have good fortune in Portugal, but in Italy they had a great performance, with a second place in WRC3.

After hearing the news, Tramalón was able to chat briefly with Diego Vallejo, who told us the following: “We have made the decision because we do not understand each other inside the car. Outside of it, we have a great relationship, but we have different ways of working. It was simply because of that”.

Vallejo will continue his season, playing several races with one of his regular drivers, Óscar Fuertes: “We have raced the Dakar several times, we continue with that project. If all goes well we will be in Baja Aragón, and I am happy for the future”.

For his part, this has been Vallejo’s message in networks: “It is true that sometimes it works better separately, but that does not mean that cooperation and camaraderie is lost. That is the reality, and the best choice for Pepe López and for me it is to separate our paths at this time. Friendship and professionalism remain, and that is what is really important! “

Now, how can it be otherwise, it remains to meet the new codriver for Pepe López for the remainder of the season. Cándido Carrera and Borja Rozada have been his co-drivers throughout his sports career.
