Ricardo Ramilo and Xabier Blanco (both Spanish, Galician and Catalan) have starred in one of those news that we don’t like to hear. Both were teaming up as driver and co-driver with a Can-Am in the SSV category at the Dakar Rally. After leaving yesterday’s stage, they have re-engaged in the Dakar Experience to continue until the end.

Today the unpublished news has arrived. After a disagreement during the day’s special, Xabier Blanco, Ricardo Ramilo’s co-driver, got out of the vehicle at kilometer 170 and did not want to go back up. Ramilo has resumed the race alone. A member of the team has been in charge of fetching the co-pilot.

Blanco alleged his decision: “The decision has come due to the pilot’s behavior towards me. It was not the first time, until I decided to get off. I was risking my life and the pilot was not paying attention. Literally, when he saw that has abandoned me in the middle of the desert“.

The driver from Vigo Ricardo Ramilo wore the number 438, in a unit that was initially going to be piloted by Nacho Vidal, the adult film actor. Without a doubt, the Dakar has always left us unpublished surprises and news, but today it surprised us again with this fact in the middle of the stage.
