Quarantine times also carry their positive side in competition. The Cantabrian driver Borja Fernández has decided to resume his project with the Opel Corsa A, a vehicle with which he participated in Cantabria until the 2017 season, in which he suffered a accident at the Rallye Ribamontán al Mar.

The small German car is inspired by that of the Belgian Thierry Neuville, car with which the WRC driver runs and much in his sporadic appearances in Belgium. It mounts a 1.6 16v engine, with crabots box and Tecnoshock suspension. The assembly of the rollover bars is also inspired by the Hyundai driver unit.

A car with a characteristic colour of 90`s rally era. The interior details also stand out, such as the display or gear lever, completely original as in the Opel Corsa Group A of the time. The vehicle will be around 180-190 hp of power.

Once the engines are up and running, Borja Fernández and his co-driver Diego Cruz will hold the full Cantabrian Rally Championship. A different and highly evolved car that promises to offer battle in the rallyes of that community. More pictures of the interior of the car, fully prepared:
