The racing car sales market around the world is more active than ever. Today we are going to focus on Spain, specifically in Almería. The Zapata Sport team has put this Toyota Yaris N1 built by Dytko Sport (2018) on sale.
The car only has five races in its history. Interestingly, the current European Rally Champion, Alexey Lukyanuk, was commissioned to debut it at the Rajd Rzeszowski (Polish National Rally Championship). The experienced Russian competitor made it debut as Course Car.
Directly from Poland, during 2018, it came to the hands of Jose Antonio “Nono” García from Almeria, a true lover of competition at 68 years old. He is also the owner of the Almería Circuit. As standard, coming from Poland, the unit was fitted with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X mechanics, R4 arms, Samsonas sequential box and control units.
Jose María Zapata, a member of the team, has helped us to tell us more details. “Once we got here, we prepared the last details to release it, like the Reiger suspension”, admits.
García debuted with the unit in the Ciudad de Enix Rallycrono at the end of 2018, with no luck. Three kilometers after starting, the engine broke. “We took the car to Calm Competició and they rebuilt the complete engine, along with the electronics”, Zapata highlights. Now the car is in “perfect condition”, with a new security deposit even.
Plans
“Nono” García, Andalusian Hillclimb Champion, has had in his possession cars such as the Citroën DS3 R5 ex Vallejo, Fiat Punto S1600 (nowadays in the hands of Bruno Veci), the Audi TT DTM that passed to Santi Abad or Gt`s like the little Lotus Exige – also ex Vallejo- recently sold.
In case of completing the sale of the car, the main premise is to acquire a Rally2. Today’s favorite is the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. In case of not completing the purchase of the Rally2, the next preferred option is a R4 -modern, with the kit-. We leave you with the announcement of the Toyota Yaris N1, on sale for 80,000 euros.
