Suzuki Motor Ibérica is one of the brands most involved in our sport. The official team will compete in the European Championship in 2021. Another of the pillars of our rallies is the Suzuki Swift Cup. The calendar has already been defined for 2021.
On January 11, the registration period for the 14th edition of the Suzuki Swift Cup opened with many advantages, reduced costs and important news. And it has been very well received by the drivers. Undoubtedly, this contest is shown as the most attractive for its prizes and competitiveness.
Always with all the precautions that must be taken to plan a calendar in the situation we live in, the Suzuki Swift Cup is committed to retaking the approach it had established at the beginning of 2020. Thus again, it will have a calendar of seven scoring rallyes. Two of them in Portugal and five in Spain, all on asphalt.
It is expected that the Sierra Morena Rally will be the one that gives the starting signal that it could not give last year. There will also be the Rally de Ourense, the Rally Ferrol Suzuki and the Rally Villa de Llanes. As a novelty, the RACC Rally is incorporated, which will allow participants to enjoy a round of the WRC. For its part, the two events to be held in Portuguese territory will be the Castelo Branco Rally and the Alto Támega Rally.
A calendar of seven scoring events to which the Rally Madrid RACE will have to be added, which has not yet awarded points will be mandatory for all participants, and which will also serve as the culmination of the end of an intense season and awards ceremony for the best classified . And it is important to remember that at that time the winner of the Terratraining Rallycar Program will be known, which will offer an important scholarship to the winning team in the Junior category.
