The Arctic Rally Finland (scheduled for February 26-28) will be the second round of the World Rally Championship after the legendary Monte Carlo. The official teams already have everything tied for their dispute, but we could have surprises in the entry list.
The Italian media “Rallye Time” assures that Lorenzo Bertelli is one step away from closing his participation in the Finnish event. The Italian would return to rally car after almost two years without doing so. His last participation was the Rally Chile in 2019.
Bertelli would attend with FuckMatie’s 2017 Ford Fiesta RS WRC, a team he owns. The Italian has one of the first units produced by M-Sport after the new regulations (chassis number 2). Bertelli disputed Sweden and Chile in 2019 at the helm, so it has few kilometers of use.
The Italian landed in the World Championship in 2012, immersed in the PWRC with a Subaru Impreza. After acquiring several Ford models, he became a regular with his private team. The best result achieved was eighth place at the 2016 Rally Mexico.
As the aforementioned media assures, the car keeps an old configuration, which dates back to 2017. It would not share the current evolutions of the official models but, of course, it would remain competitive for the return to the World Championship.
