The Arctic Rally Finland will be the second round of the World Rally Championship. After the cancellation of a classic on the calendar, Sweden, the Finns will will organize an interesting race. The itinerary has already been revealed, with ten sections to be contested.

The rally, whose service park will be located very close to Rovaniemi, will have a novelty compared to the Monte-Carlo Rally. There will be no fans, but we will have shakedown. Therefore, the teams will be able to roll their first kilometers in the rally on Friday from seven thirty in the morning.

On the same Friday, a total of two passes to the same special stage, Sarriojärvi, are scheduled. It will be a major challenge as it is the longest stage of the entire event. With 31.05 kilometers per pass, can decide a lot from day one.

On Saturday a loop of three sections with double pass is scheduled. The teams will compete a total of 144 timed kilometers. The sections, of 24, 20 and 27 kilometers, augur many emotions. As if that were not enough, the last pass of the day, Siikakämä 2, will be at night. Spectacular.

Sunday’s itinerary will be similar to Friday’s, with a double-pass section. Aittajärvi, with an interesting mileage (22.47 km) will put an end to the race, also hosting the Power Stage. In total, the teams will dispute 251.08 kilometers against the clock.

According to the organization itself, temperatures close to -20ºC are expected for the date of the rally. The stages have a good amount of snow, which means perfect conditions to host a rally on this date. Rovanperä, Solberg or Lappi already know this rally, which will mean a hard challenge for everyone.
