Simply impressive the first stage marked by the Spanish representatives in the WRC3 championship. We all know that they have only completed the first stage of the twenty scheduled, but we cannot miss the great performance of Pepe López-Diego Vallejo and Jan Solans-Rodrigo Sanjuan in SS1-Lousã, 12.35 km.
López and Vallejo are leaders of the WRC3 after a spectacular stage. The Madrid-Galician duo has surpassed all the opponents in their category. Furthermore, among the Rally2 vehicles, only Nikolay Gryazin, Mads Ostberg and Teemu Suninen have set the fastest times, and by just over three seconds.
We don’t have to go much lower in the overall WRC3 standings to find Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuan. Citroën officials in Spain are five seconds behind the current Spanish Rally Champion. Emil Lindholm and Reeta Hämäläinen are second in WRC3 with their Skoda.
