Andreas Mikkelsen will not be taking part in this weekend’s Rally Portugal. Toksport, his team this season, has confirmed that the Norwegian has tested positive for coronavirus prior to the fourth round of the World Rally Championship.
Mikkelsen will have to carry out the mandatory quarantine and will be able to return to the next event in Italy. Therefore, Toksport WRT will remain as Marquito Bulacia as the only representative of the team immersed in the WRC2 category, where Mikkelsen arrived as the leader.
The Norwegian promised a tremendous battle against pilots like Esapekka Lappi, Teemu Suninen, Oliver Solberg or Nikolay Gryazin, among many others. The battle is served in the neighboring country during this same Friday, with the dispute of the first specials.
