Information from Antena 3 and Gazetta Sport (official source): Fernando Alonso has been run over by a vehicle while training on his bicycle near Lugano, in Switzerland. The Asturian would have been transferred to a hospital with several fractures.
Immediately after the accident, Alonso was transferred to the nearest hospital. The first X-rays would have shown possible fractures, still unofficial. If so, Alonso could miss the start of the Formula 1 World Championship with Alpine.
Alpine has just confirmed it on social networks: “Alonso is fully conscious and well after suffering an accident on his road bike. They are waiting for medical examinations tomorrow morning. New updates on his condition will arrive tomorrow.”
