The Hungarian driver Róbert Bútor acquired, several weeks ago, the Citroën C3 WRC used by Pirelli to test his tires for the 2021 World Championship. Bútor, with his own Bútor Robi Racing team, will be in charge of running the car in his country.
On June 11, from the early hours, the team carried out a test session, which was announced through social networks. The activity began at nine in the morning, and the response of the public was massive, crowding the ditches in the chosen kilometers of section.
Throughout his sporting career, Butor has enjoyed exclusive cars such as the Ford Escort Maxi Kit Car, Citroën Saxo Kit Car – S1600, Peugeot 306 Maxi or Citroën C2 S1600, among many others. Now, he also has in his possession this ex-works Citroën C3 WRC.

Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia used this unit (chassis 20) in six rounds of the World Rally Championship, within the 2019 season. Let us remember that it was the year in which the French champions returned to the French brand after their successful stay at Ford.
Ogier and Ingrassia took the podium with the car in France, Portugal and Wales. A year later, Pirelli used the car as a test laboratory for its tires in the World Championship, relying on Andreas Mikkelsen as a regular test driver.
Bútor Robi Racing will officially debut the C3 at the Mecsek Rallye, a scoring event for the Hungarian Rally Championship, which this year celebrates 54 editions. It is, without a doubt, one of the classic and most special events for local drivers, and several from other countries.
