Jukka Ketomäki will get back into a race car this weekend for the Mesikämmen Ralli. The experienced Finnish driver will get into a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII wearing the snow MRF Tires. The test will be the first of the five planned for the Historic Rally Trophy in the Finnish country.
Ketomäki is a pilot with experience in the World Rally Championship. He has disputed various events since his beginnings in this sport, in 2000. One of his most exclusive cars was the ex-works Skoda Octavia WRC, with which he has raced until 2016. Currently, he keeps a new Fabia R5.
During the last campaigns, aboard the aforementioned R5 and various Mitsubishi, the Finn has disputed different regional and national rallies in his native country. Ketomaki even holds an FIA title, the 2004 European Rally Cup North, with an Evo VII.
The rally has a great reception, with more than 160 vehicles on the starting line. Latvala (father and son) will start with their respective Toyota Celica ST-165. We can also enjoy exclusive vehicles on snow, such as the Audi Quattro, Escort Cosworth or Opel Manta, among many others.
Ketomäki will use the newly created MRF ZGI tires, which are showing good results since their recent creation. Craig Breen (in 2019 on board the R5), Niclas Grönholm or Emil Lindholm have been some of the competitors who have already ridden with that tyres.
Fiore Brivio “The Tyre Doctor” is the tire engineer who has been working with the Indian brand for the last few months. Brivio was the person who led the development of the World Championship DMACKs and previously worked as a development engineer within the Pirelli staff in the WRC.
