After the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao, the teams traveled to Catalonia to compete in the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend. The Catalunya-Barcelona Circuit will host, for one more year, the best excitement of Formula 1. It will be the fourth round of the season.
We have many novelties for this race. The first comes with the public. A total of 1,000 fans will be able to meet in the Main Grandstand during the weekend, precisely the day on which the State of Alarm in Spain ends, on Sunday, May 9.
As explained by the Circuit, these people will be located in the lower part of the Main Grandstand. Each location will be separated by a lateral space (right and left) and by a front space (front and back) to ensure social safety distance.
Josep Lluís Santamaría, Circuit de Barcelona general: “It is very important to be able to gradually open the doors to fans. We want to reward subscribers for their loyalty throughout the history of the circuit. We can be a safe sport and offer a scenario with all security measures“.
Schedules during the weekend (Spain)
In Spain we will be able to experience the first evolutions of the teams with Free Practice 1 and 2. They will be held from 11:30 in the morning (first session) and 15:00 in the afternoon (second and last of the day). Free Practice 3 will take place on Saturday May 8 from 12 in the morning.
A few hours later, starting at 15:00, the drivers will play an important part of the weekend with the dispute of the classification. It is a circuit where overtaking is a difficult task, so a good starting position is vital. On Sunday May 9, for its part, we will experience the excitement of the race from the same time, three in the afternoon.
