Formula 1 returns this weekend after the racing “marathon” in Austria, a circuit where Max Verstappen and his Red Bull reigned. He does it at Silverstone, another mythical event, in which we will see for the first time in history the new format with a sprint race.

Implemented at the beginning of the season, it will see its premiere in the classic English race. It will be an important turning point, especially for Mercedes, the team that has dominated this track in recent seasons. However, his great rivals arrive at a time in an outstanding way.

We leave you the weekend schedules, in Spanish peninsular format. We must pay more attention than ever, since the format completely changes compared to what we have seen throughout 2021. A free practice session disappears, which also varies its position.

The activity will begin next Friday, in which only one free practice session will be held, scheduled for three thirty in the afternoon. A few hours later, the teams will take to the track for qualifying (usual, Q1, Q2 and Q3) with the aim of deciding the grid of the sprint race.

Now into Saturday, we have the second and last session of free practice. Shortly after, starting at 17:30, it will be the first qualifying sprint race in F1, that of the British GP. It will be at 5:30 p.m., and will consist of 17 laps of the Silverstone circuit. Points will be awarded to the first three (3, 2 and 1).

On Sunday the race for the British Grand Prix will take place starting at four in the afternoon. It will be the same format as always, as we know it. The starting order will depend on the result of the sprint race, held during the previous day.

Once explained, we attach the scheduled times in Latin America:
